We are staying in Krakow but would like to visit a small town (Tarnobrzeg)where my husband's relatives are from. Any suggestions on renting a car for this trip? Train takes about 6 hours and it looks like a 2-3 hour car ride.

Visited KRK for a week last Sept. We didn't rent a car. A suggestion if you're going to be there for 6-7 days...look into an apartment. We rented an apt for a week for about $370. It was located about 50 yds from the town square in the center of KRK. Send me an email if you'd like some info and I'll look it up. The owner of the apt could probably give you some help with a car rental. You might be able to hire a car and driver at a reasonably rate and not have to worry about the possibility of getting lost.
