Hi, Has anyone used the car rental accessed through 'greeka.com'?

Wayne, I haven't used the greeka.com, but keep in mind that you'll require the compulsory International Driver's Permit for driving in Greece. The rental agencies will probably ask for it (they did last time I rented a car there). If you're involved in any kind of "traffic incident" and don't have an I.D.P., your holiday will become unpleasant very quickly. Happy travels!

Pick up the IDP at your local AAA office, no test or membership required, for $20 plus a photo fee if you don't bring 2 passport photos with you. Unless you're travelling during Peak Season, July-August, you can easily find an inexpensive rental when you get there. No need to reserve in advance. Unless you're familiar with Athens' crazy traffic and streets, don't try to drive in the city. Parking is a nightmare there, by the way.

We saw that site but have used economycarrentals.com. They are a broker and the company they provided us with was Auto union. We rented a car for 13 days in Greece and were pleased with the service provided.

I rented a car in Athens in mid-April and drove to the Peloponnese and the Mani Peninsula. I got a great deal (35E/day) through AVANTI Rent a Car. They brought the car to our youth hostel which was close to Victoria Square and we dropped it off 4 days later at La Plaka next to the Acropolis. I dropped it off 4 hrs past the 1pm deadline but did not get charged for the extra day. Tel: 210 9233919, 210 9247006
