Any suggestions for a car rental company or website for car rental at FCO airport in Rome. I've checked the U.S. basic companies and wondered if there are any European companies and websites that are reliable?

Brenda - Try Sixt - we have had nothing but great exeriences with them. When renting in Italy they always had the best prices for our dates and routes. They also have zero deductible insurance options that sometimes comes up for a reasonable price.
Used them in Slovenia/Croatia last year but haven't used them in Italy in a couple of years, so I don't know if their rates are still reasonable.

I use www.expedia.co.uk. all over and have booked with them this March. They normally stick with the majors.

I use kayak.com for cars just about anywhere and it seems to get the majors as well as the smaller ones. I uncheck the expedia box and check the carrentals.com box just to see what's going on.
You also might want to move your question from this spot on the forum to "The Boot" for more responses.

Not to beat a dead horse ..........but why not?
Kayak just found me a car at FCO for an arbitrary week in March for $256.
Sixt wants $349 for a similar car for the same period.
Kayak checks autoeurope so there's no need to do a separate search there.
Europe by car is nothing but a list of links to other agencies that are either covered by kayak or are of limited application.
