Has anyone either rented or returned a rental car to an agency at or near the Port of Piraeus? If yes, what rental car companies have stations there? We plan to rent a car at the Athens Airport but after a week of car travel would like to drive directly to the Port at Piraeus to catch our ferry to Crete. We figure this would save us some time rather than returning the car back to the Airport. We prefer to use well known rental agencies such as Hertz, Budget, etc but are open to other as well.

Vi, we rented from Hertz last year, which was just across the street and a block down from the cruise ship terminal. It is a bit further from most of the ferry terminals, however, but still within walking distance or a short cab ride. Pireaus is a busy place and a bit confusing; be sure you know which pier your ferry is leaving from.
