Has anyone eaten at the Athens National Archeological Museum cafe? Was it good? Thanks.
Yes, I did and it was very good. And if you go to the new Acropolis Museum be sure to try the food there, too. It was also very good and the setting is very pleasant, indoors and out.
Laurie I can't speak for the Archaeological Museum but second the recommendation for the new Acropolis Museum. The restaurant there is remarkably inexpensive given the location. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous there is a nice taverna about 5 minutes walk from the Archaeological Museum. It's called the Rosalia and is at 58 Odos Valtetsiou, just off Exarcheia Square. It's a great place in particular if you fancy a selection of meze. They bring round a tray and you can just point at what you fancy. Have a good trip. Alan
The cafe at the National Archeological Museum is nice but small and has a limited menu. The cafe at the Acropolis Museum has a very nice menu and a beautiful space in which to eat. I had the best octopus stew I have ever eaten! Unfortunately it was too chilly to eat outdoors. Can't beat the view!
