We are going to do the self guide tour in Istanbul by Rick Steve, is there a way we can get our tickets ahead of time before we arrive in Istanbul?

Do you mean tickets for places like the Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sofia? I was there last August and don't remember having trouble getting tickets. There were probably lines, but I don't remember them as being bad or very time consuming. I don't think you can buy tickets in advance anyway. Enjoy Istanbul, its a wonderful city!

Thaks Christine. Yes that is what I meant. I was hoping we could get them in advance. Hopefully the lines won't be that bad in April.

We spent a total of 9 days in Istanbul last summer. 2 of those days were part of RS Turkey Tour. Since the city had so much to see that was not covered during the tour, we returned there after the tour was over. We used the RS guide book on Istanbul for most of our travels there but we have come to find out in 10 years of using his guide books, that what he says to do in 2 or 3 days takes us 4 or 6 days so we just plan on taking twice as long as he lays out. And, we are an active couple.

Thanks. I understand. I have prepared myself for that since our time is limited, I have marked 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices.
