My question is similar to Nancy's. Two couples are staying a night at Plitvice. We see no problem getting there from Split by bus on Saturday, 18 June 2011 The question is how to get to Zagreb by bus the next day from the NP. RS indicates that flaging a bus down on a Sunday afternoon is risky, since the buses might be full of people returning from the coast. I found a web site that seems to indicate there is scheduled bus service from Plitvice NP itself to ZagrebIS THAT TRUE? DO WE BUY THE TICKETS IN THE NP OR IN SPLIT? ANYBODY KNOW FROM WHERE THEY DEPART IN THE NP? I have emailed the question to the people at the Hotel Plitvice four times, where we are staying, but no reply.
