Bupadest, Vienna, Prague

I did this trip Nov/Dec 2009. I found that 2 nights in Vienna were enough. I was glad that I had 4 nights in Budapest and 4 nights in Prague. Out of the 3 cities, Vienna was in last place. Not to say I did not like it, but I found Budapest and Prague way more magical.

We visited these cities over Xmas. He had the most fun in Budapest. I would say 3 days there is enough. Vienna was actually my favourite, but if you have been there a few days would be sufficient. Prague is beautiful but a little too touristy. I would recommended 2-3 days.

I like to have a couple day trip options from each main city in place in case you find that you have allocated too much time in one spot.

For a first trip I would rate them evenly. So 3 days for each, etc., depending upon how much time you have. Deduct from that the amount of time you have previously spent there.
