Trying to decide between the Tempi Hotel--which I stayed at before, 5 years ago at the very tippy top--and the Pella Hotel for 2-3 nights in April. The Pella is cheaper, but I'm not sure how nice it is. Anyone have experience of one of these two hotels recently?

Kate I've never stayed in the Pella but we stayed in the Tempi in September and it is exactly as it has always been. If you liked it five years ago you will like it now. Another similar option, at the other end of Plaka, is the Phaedra. Most of the rooms have great views of the Acropolis. Their website is minimal but they are prompt about replying to e-mails. http://www.hotelphaedra.com/ Cheers
