Budapest apartment and sightseeing advice

Can anyone recommend a 2bedroom apartment that has. 1double and 2single beds? I would also appreciate any thoughts on sightseeing in early January in Budapest with a 10 month old baby. We are thinking of doing 1day trip during our week long stay, so where would you suggest at this time of year?
Thanks,Linda

http://www.budapestapartmentsdirect.com/andrassy-apartment/l5 I think will meet your needs. Very good location as well. In January you are going to want to have an option to walking from time to time and this place puts you right on the M1 metro line. The only issue might be if they allow children; you will have to check on that. The property is managed by a really decent husband (English) and wife (Hungarian) team that do a great job of taking care of their guests. I trust them enough to let them take care of my place in Budapest (which wouldn't meet your needs). A ten month baby? You have no problems with the temperatures hovering between -10F and 35F? My wife and I love the holiday season in Budapest and have been there in January and February and do enjoy it; but most of the activities are inside. This is when the Opera, Operett and the Palace of Art is in full swing and the snow is a couple of feet thick. Day trips in January with a 10 month baby? Maybe go to Pec for a night or two. I know a gentleman Andrew ILLES, a local guide and friend that can probably be helpful in keeping you guys busy. His website is http://www.guideinbudapest.com/

Thanks James and Wayne for the suggestions. I shall check them both out.Do you think it would be a better idea to stay for a shorter time in January (as we will have the baby with us)?

Linda, I love Budapest. I make two or three trips a year and average a total of a little more than 30 days in Budapest each year. I have been there every month of the year but July and August. I have had amazing good times in December, January and even February. I love the cold air and the snow (the infant probably wont). I love the theater (the infant probably wont and i doubt the others there would appreciate it if the infant got bored and expressed his boredom), I love great restaurants (same problem as the theater). So for me I personally wouldn't do it with a 10 month old in the dead of the winter unless I brought a baby sitter with me. But each to their own I always try and believe. There is some slight outside chance that the people of that apartment management company I suggested might know a baby sitter. I really don't know. There are Hotels that can make those arrangements if you stay with them and I would check the K&K Opera first.

Linda, Check out entreamis.be. They offer a wide range of apartments in Budapest. Their property managers are very good at solving your problems and I am sure they could find you some baby sitters. These are well located apartments and very functionable. Craig
