For years the fare from the airport was fixed by 3 or 4 zones. It was a bargain especially if you took advantage of the return trip discount. Now the cabs are on the meter and it appears the meter rate is a little higher. Still using the meter the airport to very near the Opera ran about 6000ft, my guess is it will be closer to 6500ft now. At about USD30, I think its still a world bargain. I will test my guess Friday and let you know. I post this because I just recently advised on the fixed rate and I don't want anyone surprised.
