Hello - We have found out 11/1 is a holiday - not sure what for. But, are many places closed because of this do you think? Baths? Opera? Restaurants? Zoo? Thanks to any who can help!

The baths are open but on a Sunday schedule. The opera is closed. The zoo is open.

Maybe you can leverage the holiday to your advantage. See if the Pannonhalma Archabbey outside of Gyor is going to have open services. Gyor and the Archabbey make a wonderful overnight trip fro Budapest. This like the abbey at Melk, but in my opinion much more human and emotionally accessible.
