Bottled Water in Prague

Are there still concerns of several Hep A cases in Prague? Should I still avoid tap water and just buy bottled? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

This is very old news. No big concerns that I'm aware of for Hep A. It was at its worst in 2008. I'm there frequently to visit inlaws and they have not talked about it for over 1 1/2 years & all are using tap water for cooking, & making coffee and tea. Of course the Czechs I know don't really drink water so much unless it's mineral. Who could blame them when the pivo is so good & Mattoni mineral water rocks. I was just there in May & drank both tap and bottled water & still alive. :-)

I have had the vaccine, and suggest that if you are at all concerned, that you do to. We were there in may and brused our teeth with the tap water but we have both been immunized. Google CDC Czech Republic. No use taking a chance when an immunization is relatively cheap!

I've found Mattoni in the US, when visiting the Czech part in Chicago (Cicero) at a Czech neighborhood store. They had Mattoni, Cesky pivo, kolacky, becherovka, Czech DVD's for rental! Everyone in the store was speaking Czech! If there is a Czech neighborhood around you, maybe you could find some Mattoni. I bought a 6-pack of 1.5 L bottles!
