Flying into Bucharest for 10 days and would like to head to Belgrade and maybe Sarajevo. In Rick's Croatia and Slovenia, he paints an interesting picture of BH. I'm not sure it would make sense to drive from Bucharest to Belgrade to Sarajevo. Maybe fly to Belgrade and drive to Sarajevo and back? The flights into Sarajevo all seem to route through Munich, Vienna or Istanbul. Anyone with experience in this part of the world? Thanks, Dan

I was driven across Romania once and i think i might do it alone if i had to. But do you realize that these roads at best are the equivalent of a county road in the US and none are straight. Go to Google maps and check the travel times and those times are if everything goes right. I haven't been to Croatia or Serbia since the change but i can tell you the time i spent in Romania and Bulgaria is among the most fascinating, enjoyable and meaningful i have ever spent. And if you were to choose Hungary, well its down right magnificent. Central and Eastern Europe is magnificent. I know guides and drivers in Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary if that helps any.

Thanks, by checking for small airlines, I booked JAT from Bucharest to Belgrade, then on to Sarajevo, and back to Bucharest for $575. Seemed like the simplest way. Dan
