After a trek in the Dolomities I am going to go to Krawkow and then Budapest. The trains from Bolzano to Krawkow is 18+ hrs. It looks like a 10 hr night train from Vienna to Krawkow but it does not offer sleepers or compartments. Any suggestions on how do this trip and not sit up in a seat all night traveling from Vienna to Krawkow Thanks in advance
Tom
It's "Krakow"....have you considered flying instead of using trains? It may save your back and your sanity.
Using a dummy date (because I don't know yours), SkyScanner.com shows a few 3 hr. 30 min. and 3 hr. 55 min. flights on Air Berlin from Vienna (VIE) to Krakow (KRK) with one stop in Berlin Tegel (TXL) for $234.
I have considered flying. I looked into it, but with the connections it looked like about the same time frame. Flying from Vienna to Krakow sounds like a prett good option Thx

According to Deutsche Bahn website there is a sleeper train leaving Vienna Westbahnhof at 22:16 arriving to Krakow at 06:35.
Ilja- That would be perfect if I could get a compartment on that train. I am not sure what day we will be finishing the trek in the Domolities, so I can't reserve a berth yet. I think we will be finishing on Sept 18 or 19 Thx
