We are going to have a couple of extra days in Split and we would like to take a boat to an island...maybe spend the night. Any suggestions?

hvar, vis or korcula. hvar has a nice waterfront area and a fortress on the hill. they grow lavender as well.
we scootered around vis through the wine country.

From Split I took a small boat to Trogir and then a bus to Sibenik. The tourist office in Split is very helpful.
Are you going to Dubrovnik? I took a bus from there to Korcula. Very scenic and up thru the mountains. Then I took the big J ferry back to Dubrovnik.
All were wonderful!
