I would like to spend at least 3 more days in Istanbul after the end of RS's 13 day Turkey tour. I would like to catch the 9:15 train from Izmir. Is there a early bus I can catch from Kusadasi. Tx much

Just took the Best of Turkey tour this September. Best way to return to Istanbul is to fly. My Atlas Air flight was very inexpensive and the tour bus dropped us off at the Izmir airport. If you prefer to take the 9:15 train, you may need to take a cab to Izmir. Cost of an early cab to the airport was about TL 100, and it would probably be about the same to the train station.

I also took the tour in September and flew from Izmir to Istanbul. As Frank says the bus will take you free of charge to the airport . There are numerous flights to Istanbul. We arrived at the airport around 9 so any flight from about 10:30am on is feasible.

Same here as Frank and Pat - except I did it in June and flew Turkish Air which cost about twice what all of the regional airlines were charging.
