Best way to get to from kalambaka to Igoumenitsa ferry port

I will be visiting Greece and Italy with my husband. We'll be flying into Athens in mid May and flying out of Rome, Italy in early June. I will be visiting Kalambaka in mid May, traveling by train from Athens. Wondering if there is a way to get to Igoumenitsa ferry port from Kalambaka by train/bus? We are thinking about taking the ferry from Igoumenitsa to Bari, Italy. Chrystyna

Bus would be about the only way. I am sure there are connections, but information on routes can be hard to come by. It may be just as easy to create a route that gets you back to Athens, then to Patrasm maybe including Delphi or Olympia.
