Hello, If you have traveled to Israel and Jordan, what are your suggestions for the best time of year to visit? When is the weather comfortable and there are fewer tourists? Thank you for your input!

Not sure of best time but we were there in early June a few years ago and it was still pleasant. I wouldn't go in the middle of summer but someelse who has more experience will chime in.

chime, chime March and April, even to mid-May and mid-October through November. The weather is generally pleasant - not too hot, with little, if any, rain. But you need to avoid the holidays in Israel - Easter/Passover in the spring and New Year (Rosh Hashanah) through Succoth in the fall. Because the holidays are on a lunar calendar they float around. During these periods, tourism (and prices) are at maximum.

I should have added - Israel goes on summer time at the end of March and goes off it early - right after Rosh Hashanah. So sunset is much later in April than in March or in the fall. Also, much of the country is green in the spring, with lots of wild flowers. By May the green disappears. Since rains are generally sparse in the fall, it won't be green again until December or even January - much like California - and I suspect around your home area too.
