We are planning a Mediterrain cruise fall of 2008, do we book thru the cruise ship, local TA or online. Where can we find the cheapest price and most reliable for a 7 day Royal Caribbean tour of the Mediterrain. M B
Without question, use a Travel Agency. Look for one who has been around for awhile, will provide referrals when ask and specializes in Cruises. They can help find the cruise line best for your situation and the best price. The "cheapest" price is not always a good thing.

Since you've already chosen RC as the cruise line(and I love RC, also)check prices online at sites like Priceline(who,by the way, offers a price guarantee until the final payment is made in case the price goes down after you book).I always book my own cruises, airfares & hotels online without a travel agent. As I see it,RC is a reliable company who will stand behind its product and help you if there's a problem.I'm not sure what the point of a travel agent is in this day of easy to find information on the internet.I always look for the lowest price, since you're comparing apples to apples and looking for a specific cruise. One time on a RC cruise,I had found a deal for Indiana residents. Many other people I had met(also from Indiana)on the cruise booked theirs through a popular travel company. They paid $500 per person more than me for the exact same thing.I always just try to make my best deal, using internet review sites. Also check airline sites to book cruise for huge airmiles bonuses.
