Before I would take someone's advice I would research the countries which interest you most. Plan to go where you can see what you like--not what someone else likes.
Research each country by google search "Germany attractions" or Switzerland attractions. You can see pictures and read descriptions which will help you decide which places to visit.
Or go to the library and browse some travel guides.

Excellent advice from Carl. Too many folks tend to post open ended questions without doing their own research or listing their likes/dislikes. The resulting responses are then all over the map.

I would definitely go North. You can see the rest any time of year. In the North it not practical to vacation outside of the warm months (maybe May to September).
