We are doing the June/July Eastern European Tour. What would be the easiest/quickest/most efficient form of travel to get from Lake Bled to the airport in Ljubljana for our flight back to the USA.

Hi Don! Bled is not that far from the Airport so a taxi shuttle is the most convenient option as there is no direct public transport and you don't want to be carrying your luggage around in any case. Your guide will help arrange transportation from the hotel to the airport, coordinating with others in your group by departure time and splitting the cost with them. Most flights leave Ljubljana very early in the morning. When I did this tour in May 2012, there were four or five groups - at least two vans left at 3 a.m. (to the airport, about an hour away), another at 4 (also to airport), and another to the train station around 9 a.m. (my choice, I took the train from Lesce Bled to Salzburg, then to Munich). I don't think anyone paid more than 10 euro each for the shuttle.
