We are arriving in Corfu by a cruise ship. We would like to head to the beach. What beach is the best on to see? How to get there? Is it better to take a taxi? Bus? Rent a car? or pay 25 euros per person for the cruise transfer? (seems very high for a bus ride) No nudie beaches please. Not that I am against it just no one would want to see me naked.

the cruise transfer probably includes use of lounge chair, umbrella and use of pool. We would have done that, except our cruise beach day was from 7:30-11:30 AM. Instead, at 9 am, we took the city bus (probably used as the shuttle from port to town for 1 euro) and then walked to San Roco (?) square and caught the bus to Dasai (search online for Corfu bus schedule). I think it was the #7 or #9 but it is marked DASAI on the front and there is one every 30 minutes. We got off at the Chandon hotel (where the cruise beach day went), walked thru the hotel, down the stairs and out to the beach. It is a family beach, not topless. You could buy drinks at the pool bar. There was also a water sports dock (open to public) with banana boats, parasailing, a bar, etc. It was quite nice and easy. Bus takes about 30 minutes and it runs every 30 minutes, so we were not worried about missing the ship. We Afterwards, we shopped around old town Corfu for 2 hours and then got the bus back to the ship.
