My husband and I leaving for for Eastern Europe in a week and need suggestions for good areas (not necessarily specific bars) to find bars/pubs to hang out. We aren't "club" people, but love to try the local beers and check out the local scene. Cities were are going to are: Berlin Warsaw Krakow Budapest Vienna

For Budapest, we found a few bars along the street called Raday utca (there is also a concentration of restaurants there). It's near the Great Market Hall and right off the Kalvin ter Metro stop. In Vienna we had a fun night at the American Bar. I'm not sure of the address, but it's not far from St. Stephen's Cathedral. The interior of the bar is gorgeous, with dark wood features and sort of an old-time library feel. It seemed to be popular with opera goers after the performance was over. It's been a little too long since I've been in Berlin or Krakow (and I've not been to Warsaw), so I can't help you there but I hope you have a great trip!
