Bad knees & back in Greece - suggestions?

Will be in Greece in Sep-Oct. I can walk alot, but going up or down lots of steps or inclines can sometimes create pain & swelling. Doing Rick's recommended sites & will have a car. Suggestions for reasonably priced lodging w/o lots of steps? Is it worthwhile to go to Meteora if I can't get to top of monasteries? Opinions on Edipsos spas?

"Is it worthwhile to go to Meteora if I can't get to top of monasteries" - well, it's still quite interesting, but I only found one monastery without significant steps. If you were headed north (see my post on your other thread) it would be worth an overnight, otherwise maybe not. Also be aware that footing is treacherous in much of Greece - either slippery or rocky or both. Take a good hiking stick and shoes/boots with good grip. (I travel with lightweight hiking boots these days, I turn my ankles too easily.)
