Has anyone stayed at Marble House? Is it too far away to stay there for 4 days?

We are booked in to the Marble House for 3 nights inOctober and the reviews indicated it was in a fairly quiet area. If you are going earlier would appreciate you posting a review.

Well...we stayed at Marble House for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip to Greece, earlier this month, and found it overrated. It's no more than an easy 10-min walk from the Syngrou-Fix metro station, which is 2 stops from Syntagma is you take the X95 airport bus, but it isn't close to anything else. The guy on duty in the evening, who wasn't too helpful, will tell you it's a 15-min walk to the Plaka, which I think is being optimistic. It's easy enough to get back to the metro, to visit the Acropolis and other sights. There are a number of groceries and bakeries very close to the Marble House, plus a handful of restaurants. It is a quiet neighborhood. The hotel has no elevator, and we really didn't think he had to put us on the 3rd floor (really the 4th). The room was tiny, with insufficient room for 2 medium-sized suitcases. For only 10 Euros more, you'd do much better at the Hotel Myrto at 40 Nikis. It's got an elevator, the rooms are bigger, the management extremely accommodating, it's a 5-min walk to Syntagma and no more than 10 mins to the Plaka, and their breakfast (included) will fill you up for most of the day.
