What is the best way to get to the Athens Airport for a 7:30am flight? We should be there before 5:30am and I think the metro starts running at 5:30am. The bus takes about an hour so we might have to get it at 4am. Is a taxi the best way?
Appreciate any suggestions.

Correct, the Metro doesn't start until around 5:30. A taxi is fast and convenient because it will pick you up at your hotel, but for a taxi that early in the morning you will have to pay double the day rate, so about €60. The 'X95' Airport Express Bus is €5 per person from Syntagma Square, so if your hotel is within walking distance this makes the best sense. The bus leaves every 20 minutes or so 24/7/365. So early in the morning it will take 45 minutes.
