Arcadia Residence in Prague -confused on location

We have a hold on a room this summer at Arcadia Residence in Prague. It gets great reviews. The reviews state that the location is great but when we look it up on google maps it looks like it is a fair walking distance to the "sites". I haven't done enough research yet to really have a handle on the town or what we will be doing but was looking for some input for anyone that has had experience staying here.
Thanks!

Debbie, I haven't stayed there, but checked the map and it does seem to be a bit "distant" from the Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and other main sites. It's possible there are good transit links in that area, so the location may not be much of an issue. The Trams in Prague are great, so it's easy to get around where stops are available. Good luck with your planning!

Thanks there is also availability for our dates at Residence Retezova, I will have to look at that one more closely and think about changing.

Arcadia is well connected by tram lines to all the sites.
It is about 1.5 miles to the town square by foot.

Don't cancel your reservation! We stayed there in October and it is RIGHT around the corner from the clock, the main square and everything else Prague has to offer. The confusion about location comes from the fact that a Google or Mapquest search for Arcadia points you to Pasquale's OTHER apartments, which are about a 20 minute walk from the main area. However, he does not use those for leisure tourists - those tend to be for business, long-term travelers. His main apartments are right in town, beautiful, and perfect. We made the same mistake as you and had our cabbie drop us off at the address that Google provided, and we had to walk from the remote apartments to the town ones. It was a 20 or 25 minute walk, which we really enjoyed. If you have any doubts, just email Pasquale. His English is perfect, he's an excellent host, and he's really helpful.

Thank you soooo much for responding. That completely explains the confusion we were having!! The reviews I've read all state how wonderful the location is, how close it is to everything etc etc but then when we tried to look it up it didn't seem to be where even the website indicated it was. We'll keep our reservation, thanks again!
