Hi ....just checking that you can get a train (no pass or reservation) from Amsterdam to Bruges in December. Also need to get another train from Bruges to Lille before TGV to Paris. thanks
Leanne
Yes, leanne, Dutch and Belgian trains do run in December. If you look around at other threads you will see detailed answers to that question in just the last day.
I think you have to change trains in Brussels. There are frequent trains between Brussels and Bruges, just take the next one. The Belgian rail website is

It's a quicker journey to change trains in Antwerp instead of Brussels.
leanne, Bear in mind that if nothing else is delayed, the non-reservable crappy Benelux trains will be cancelled in favor of much more modern Fyra trains running on the high-speed line which WILL require a reservation, from DEc. 9th. To travel without reservations you would then need a painfully slow itinerary including changes in Leiden, Roosendaal and Antwerpen, including a very slow local cross border train.
Just did this trip last month. Get a high-speed train ticket from Amsterdam to Antwerp. Then take the local train from Anterp to Brugge. When you get the ticket from Amsterdam to Antwerp tell them you are going all the way to Brugge so it's ticketed at one price. You can get tickets the same day or in advance. In adance will be cheaper.
The train station in Antwerp is worth the stop itself IMO. Have a good trip
