Does anyone know if Akrotiri has reopened?

It's been closed since September, 2005 and only recently has there been any word about rebuilding the protective roof covering that collapsed. Plans were submitted to the local "Planning Department" for approval and construction will hopefully begin sometime this year. It is estimated that it will take a year to complete the project once it begins. I doubt if anyone actually knows when it will begin.
