I'm taking the RS Eastern Europe in 17 days tour. I would like to do some independent travel before and after the tour. It starts in Prague and ends in Bled. I was thinking of seeing some of Germany before and perhaps going to Vienna after the tour. Has anyone tried something similar? Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I am also in one of those tours. My plan is to fly to Berlin and stay for 2 days. Then I will take the train to Praque -5 hr. trip to join the RS tour for 17 days. After that I will proceed to northern Italy by train/bus to the Dolomites, Lake Cuomo, Cinque Terre and fly back from Milan. I have bought my plane tickets but have not reserve my hotels.
I've been to Germany, Austria & Switzerland recently that's why I did not select them.
I always make before and after trips after taking a tour. Last year I took the RS tour of France from Paris to Nice. Arrived early in Paris and then proceeded to the French Alps.
