Accommodations in Dikili, Turkey

We are looking for suggestions for accommodations in Dikili, Turkey in July. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Thanks

There are several resort type hotels in Dikili. Is that what you are looking for? If not, you might think about basing yourself somewhere besides Dikili. Izmir (which is only a couple miles away) would have many more options, and Selcuk (near Ephesus) has several fabulous Rick-Steves-style options.

Is there a reason you picked Dikili? If you have to be there, I think you are stuck with resort hotels.

Thanks for the advice. We picked Dikili to break up a bus trip from Istanbul (via ferry to Bandirma) to Selcuk and because it sounded vaguely pleasant. We are certainly not looking for resorts, but are staying away from Izmir as it looks large and busy. Any other smaller places on the coast that are a little less resort-centered? Thanks again!

Here's another option you may want to consider--flying from Istanbul to Izmir. You can fly on Onur Air for around 40-50 dollars one way, saving about a full day of bus and ferry journey. For me, having more time to visit the Selcuk area (Ephesus, Sirence, etc.) and points south (Didyma, for example)is worth it. The northern Aegean is less interesting and more package-touristy. The central and southern Aegean has more ruins. (Of course Kusadasi and Bodrum are completely overrun with foreign tourists--great bars and shops, but not really Turkish in flavor.
