To reserve Polish train between Krakow and Warsaw?

Wasn't sure if I should post this under transportation or not... I'll be leaving Krakow July 2 for Warsaw and thought I should reserve ahead, to be safe w/ Euro cup and tourist season. Wise? Are the stations: Glowny-Zachodnia, if I'm staying in the Old Town for both cities? And what is the difference between the two classes? It seems so cheap, perhaps it's best to do 1st. Also, is there a difference between an EX and a TLK train? I'm working directly from their train site but... Thanks much!!

It's expensive to reserve from the US. I would just buy a ticket immediately when I come to Krakow. TLK means something like your cheap train. Warszawa zachodnia means Warsaw west. For central Warsaw buy ticket to Warszawa Centralna. It takes three hours from Krakow to Warsaw.

For Krakow as well you want Krakow Glowny. Polish trains (even the fast trains between majors cities) generally are still cheap, but 2nd class isn't a dump. The only thing would be that a lot of them still only have compartments, so if you want a little more space to yourself think about going for first.

I took the train from Krakow Glowny to Warsaw Centralna just this morning. I bought the ticket online from Polrail and it was sent to my home. Their online site was easy to use. I took the more expensive direct train and 2nd class was quite nice. The ticket including reservation was 129.50 zloty and it was 20 or 30 additional for the post.
