Joe: A clarification of what you mean by cool might help us give you advice more useful to you. (I know, if I have to ask, then I'm not, right?) :) Night life, bars, art museums, what?

As Kent says: what's cool is subjective. Let's try anyway. In Prague in addition to Rick Steves recommendations add Krizik fountain (google). Most people would probably think it's cool. In Krakow beside what R.S. recommends go to the restaurant (it's more like wine cellar) Morskie Oko. It's close to Glowny Rynek (main square). Authentic polish food and guralske folksongs from nearby Tatra Mountains. Cool (IMHO). In Vienna besides usual touristy stuff try wine neighborhood Grinzing. In Brno see castle Spilberg, go up the tower of the Old City Hall for views. In September there will be big fair going on in large Brno Fairgrounds (maybe cool). Or take a street car #1 direction Bystrc; you will get to the lake and a boat will take you to the castle Veveri. It's a scenic ride. In September they are selling young still fermentating wine called burcak (pronounce burchak) all over the town. Nearby you can visit the deepest abyss in the Czech Republic (138 meters) Macocha and Punkva caves. If you specify your interests we may come with more tips.

For you to know what is cool in each town will mean doing some research. Search google for "Prague sights". Then do the same for each town.

Read about what there is to see in each one. Decide which town you want to visit. No one can do it for you.
