Living in Belgium & thrilled we're finally getting to Turkey next month. Will have only 5 days this trip but hopefully the chance to return (husband will go on business 1-2 times per year.) Our well-traveled kids are 5,7&9. We'll end our trip with 2 days in Istanbul (where I hope to buy a carpet among other things) but would like to do something else for the first 3 days. Getting the kids to locations of the early Christian church (some of Paul's travels, etc.) like Ephesus would be wonderful; also some ruins and maybe even a day at the beach. However, at this point we don't want 3 or 4 hotels in 3 or 4 areas. Help! Any info/ideas/suggestions hugely appreciated, especially since Rick's Turkey guide isn't due 'till Fall & we've no idea where to stay. Thanks in advance.
