2 weeks in Greece & Istanbul

Traveling from US and am thinking about this itinerary. Comments/critiques/suggestions welcome please.
Arrive Athens early afternoon-go to Pireaus-then fast boat to Hydra. 2 full days(3 nights) in Hydra then back to Athens. 2.5 days (3 nights) in Athens then fly to Santorini. 3.5 days (3 nights) in Santorini then fly to Istanbul (w/ 2 hour layover in Athens). 4 full days (5 nights) in Istanbul.

What do you experienced travelers think? Thanks.

Four days in Istanbul is perfect! You will have time to see everything without rushing. Too bad you don't have one more night, you could do 4 nts IST and 2 nights in Capadoccia in central Turkey, it is amazing and totally different from any other place we have visited!

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately that won't work out as we have a non-stop flight from Istanbul back to the US.
