My husband and I will be driving throughout Poland from Gdansk in the north to Rzeszow in the south. We plan to park the car in larger cities and take public transport.What are road conditions like? Are there some road types that are best avoided? Are Polish drivers speeders? Do you have to ba an aggressive driver? Are road signs clear? Etc. Any information would be helpful.

The highway system is unlike the US, in that a highway is considered "large" if it has 2 lanes in each direction. Polish people do speed, but I wouldn't say you have to be an aggressive driver. If you get caught speeding, $40 will get you out of it with the cops. Road signs are good.
