Any advise about staying here, day trips from here or overall advice?

Tell us more Stacy.

What did you have?
Was it lunch or dinner?
Was it white tablecloths or cozy booths?
Was it several courses of small plates, or a big, "roast and fixin's" kind of thing a couple could share?
How was the wine list?
Did you have dessert?

Don't leave us hanging.

I just came back from this wonderful medieval town! I don't have any suggestions on where to stay, but this restaurant, Krcma V Satlavske, was AMAZING!

Yes, in charming Cesky Krumlov consider staying at The Old Inn. It is where you want to be - right on the small central square. The rooms are large and squeaky clean with modern baths, etc. Also, one evening try dinner at the Pilsner Beer Cellar which is in the vaults right under the small hotel.

Also in town is the five star hotel Ruze.

We really enjoyed the castle tour right in town. Tickets (for the English tours) can be hard to come by. Check times, etc. on the net.

As you climb toward the castle you may find a small pastry shop on the left side that makes a pastry called a Turdlo (sorry, that's as close as I can remember) I've lost the name but I remember the tasty cinnamon pastry. Be sure to try it - habit forming.
