James must be out of range, he has good advice. He's opined on hotels in past posts, maybe a search for Budapest hotels or some such would locate them. Don't know about the one you mention. Last year we stayed at Kalvin House, http://www.kalvinhouse.hu/?lang=eng, and were quite pleased with it. It's near Kalvin Square and the Great Market Hall, on the southern edge of central Pest. Easy to go anywhere by tram or subway, or walk to the main shopping and tourist areas. We had a big room on the top floor with a nice rooftop view. Good breakfast, friendly staff. It's in the RS guidebook along with others that I'm sure are fine also.

I will 2nd Kalvin House. Good value. Pleasant, helpful staff. Close to transportation, restaurants, Grand Market, end of Vaci Utca. I can think of no reason I wouldn't stay there again.
