I am looking for good quality hotel with reasonable rates in Sorrento for a group of 3 couples in September 2014. I would appreciate your recommendations.

A few years ago we stayed at the Hotel Mignon Mueble. Reasonably priced, modest, exceptionally clean, friendly folks, wifi, small continental breakfast. Some rooms have balconies, but no sea views here. An easy walk of ten minutes or so from train station with luggage, one minute to the Corso. Quiet and pleasant, but modest. I found it on tripadvisor, and current reviews seem consistent with our experience. Good luck.

We have twice stayed at the Il Nido Hotel, a short drive outside of Sorrento. It's on the hillside overlooking the sea and lovely and quiet. A free shuttle bus transports you to and from Sorrento. www.ilnido.com We would not hesitate to stay there again.
