Photo Organization Software

My H has just spent 8 days deleting, filing, organizing and keywording my photos... Would he be software or hardware?

We each have Lightroom. Neither one of us is aware of a duplicate reduction aspect, except when first importing photos.

After you import your photos into a folder, open file explorer. Select that folder. In the tool bar click on view. Then click on the sort by, select date taken. Also, click on ascending. All your pictures should be in the order of the dates taken. Duplicates will be next to one another. Pick the best and delete those unwanted or move them to a separate folder.

I expected that Adobe might have something and did a search which brought me to this Adobe community response:

After traversing an old link, it brought me to this free resource that looks promising to dedupe photos and other file types:

It says that "dupeGuru is good with pictures. It has a special Picture mode that can scan pictures fuzzily, allowing you to find pictures that are similar, but not exactly the same." It can also be used for music and other file types.

The Adobe community link also includes a reference to this option, which requires Adobe Lightroom:

I haven't tried any of these, so can't recommend a specific choice.

If you can touch him then he is hardware......
Or maybe just a portable hard drive?

Do you mean duplicate files or phots that are so similar as to be needlessly duplicated?
