We land in Zurich at 6:20 a.m. and we have an 11:15 train from the airport to Luzern. We were interested in doing the Zurich Walk from the Train Station that Rick talks about in his book as this is our only time in Zurich. The book says it can be walked in about an hour. Is this even feasible for us to consider doing? We will have only carry on luggage so we don't have to wait for checked luggage, though we will need to go through customs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. NCP

What do you mean that you have an 11:15 train from the airport?? Train tickets are not timed...unless you prepurchased on of the super saver tickets online. If you purchased a normal ticket then you can just hop on the next available train to Lucerne.

We did that just a month ago but we had a 9 hour lay over. If you do not have a RS walking route, you can get a map of Zurich with a walking route on it at the Information Center in the train station. There are lockers in the Zurich airport where you can leave your carry on luggage while you do the walk. We did, and are glad we were not dragging ours with us.
