Confused by all the different pass and saver options...Can someone advise?
Traveling from Zurich to Zermatt for ski trip Sunday and returning to Zurich on Friday. Will spend Friday in Zurich prior to departure Sat morning.
What is the best (fare) way to travel?

You might consider a Swiss Transfer ticket for 139 chf 2nd class. It must be purchased before you arrive in Switzerland. That will cover your round trip transportation from your entry point into Switzerland to your vacation destination. The 2nd class fare from Zurich airport to Zermatt is 126 chf each way, so this will save you $$. In Zurich, just get day tickets to tour Zurich and a one way ticket to the airport on Saturday. In fact, if you are staying at a Zurich hotel, it may include a local transit card. Anyway, these are not big ticket items.

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is one that now allows the Print at Home option when purchased through SBB. The same technology should be coming to our web site sometime in January, but date is not firm.
Happy New Year! The bad news is the Swiss Transfer Ticket price just went up to 141 chf. The good news is that the Swiss Franc is now virtually at parity with the USD.
