We are traveling to Locarno from Zurich. Which we will arrive in Zurich and see the sights in a day and leave the following morning. We will stop to see the Fortress Furigen Stansstad. Has anyone seen this? My husband would like to see it. Then on to Valle Verzasca, which is just out of Locarno area. In between is there sights I have missed that are a must to see. Try to hit as much as possible. in a day. We will be here in Locarno for 12 days. and Seeing Locarno - Area, Ascona, Taking the Centovalli Railroad to Domodossola, Medieval Village of Cannobio, Stresa, Borromeo Islands - Possibility, The Village of Orta San Giulio on its shores,
Coma, Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio, Bellano, Tremezzo, Lenno, Lecco, Lugano, Milan - to see the Last Supper. These are all possibilities. I don't think I can see them all and also spend some time with relatives in Locarno. Any Tips? Are destination is Locarno that where we will be staying.

Bellinzona and its three castles are a World Heritage site.
Milan is a totally different experience than all the small towns. You need to book the Last Supper far ahead of time, or go on a guided tour.
