Looking for recommendations for hotel near main train station in Zurich.

Budget? Style? There are many hotels within a short walk from Zurich HB (main station), so it depends on those variables. Here are 3 different options that are as close as possible to the station and acceptable in my book, though they are very different in atmosphere.
1) If you just want proximity and a relatively decent price, you can check out the Walhalla. It's nothing fancy but it's fine (especially if you're just staying for one night because of an early morning train for example) and it's directly next to the main station http://www.walhalla-hotel.ch/en/welcome/
2) If a hipstery design hotel is more your thing: 25Hours hotel Langstrasse https://www.25hours-hotels.com/en/hotels/zurich/langstrasse - also in direct proximity to the station and they sometimes have surprisingly competitive rates
3) And finally, for a more "traditional" hotel right on the main shopping street across from the station, you could check http://www.hotelstgotthard.ch/en/hotel/about-us/

we stayed at the St. Gotthard just about 2 years ago - very convenient, nice rooms and pleasant staff. It was easy to get to from the train station - just about a block and a half away. Breakfasts are good, but expensive, if your room rate doesn't include them.
