Flying into Zurich 9/29 taking the train to Grindelwald. Figuring 29th and half of 30th will be jettlagged. 1-3 exploring Grindelwald. 4 th Zurich. Fly out the 6th. Is this a good timeline. Where should i stay in Zurich? District 1? Early flight 10am on 6th. Should we stay closer to the airport . Thanks

Where is your flight going to on Oct 6? It is only about 15 minutes by train from Zurich Hbf to the airport.

I would stay in Lucerne.
Although often overrun by tourists, it is just an hour from the airport, and far more picturesque than Zuerich.

We are flying from Newark NJ. We previously stayed in Lucerne and Zermatt.

Might I suggest the scenic town of Rapperswil, at the south end of Lake Zurich?
Also within 40 minutes of airport.
