Zurich Card

As with most of these "city cards" it really depends what you plan to do and if the card gives you worthwhile discounts on those activities. The trip from the airport to central Zurich is less than 7 francs, so you would have to decide on how much of the other benefits you would actually use and if they are worth the additional cost (or the convenience factor alone is worth it).

Zurich itself isn't really that big and most of the downtown is flat and fairly walkable if you are staying in a centrally located hotel. You can walk from the main train station to the lakeside in about 20-25 minutes. And even if you did want to buy a 24-hr ticket for the tram/bus on your own, it's less than 9 francs per day. The Zurich card might be beneficial if you plan on multiple excursions outside the city center (Uetliberg, lake cruise) and/or more than one museum (or if you think the shopping discounts would benefit you), but you'd have to compare the "regular" prices vs the Zurich Card discounts. If you are more of a "wander around and people watch" kind of traveler who might visit one museum and plans to walk almost everywhere, it is probably not worth it.

The card is also slightly more useful if your hotel is outside of central Zurich (then the additional included public transport zones can be a benefit).

I would only buy a city’s 3-day card if I knew for sure it was a bargain. If you don’t know, you probably don’t need it.

I don't know if you have a Swiss Rail pass for this trip, but it covers intracity public transportation.
