What is the best way to get from the airport to Lucerne? Also, has anyone stayed at the Rothaus Luzern & Peruvian Hotel at Klosterstrasse 4, Lucerne? A friend booked us there. We have no idea where it is. Thanks.

There is a regular train every hour going from the Zurich Airport direct to Luzern.
You can walk to that hotel from the Luzern train station to
Klosterstrasse 4, Lucerne

I have taken the train from Zurich Airport to Lucerne twice. It couldn't be easier. No changes. The station is below the terminal. The ticket office is above ground. Just follow the signs.

If you miss the hourly direct (no transfer required) train a one transfer train runs roughly at the half hour between the direct trains. See SBB timetable: https://www.sbb.ch/en/timetable.html
Note that the airport station is: Zürich Flughafen
And the Lucern station is: Luzern
The one transfer train from the airport is the one going toward "Birg" then transfering at the Zürich HB station to the train heading towards (and terminating at) Luzern.
Looks like you are about a 3/4 km walk from the train station. (We stayed at the Waldstaetterhof just across the street from the Central train station).

Also, the Zurich Flughafen Coop store is a great place to buy chocolate before you head home, if you have some leftover Swiss francs to spend. We bought several bags of individually wrapped chocolates that were fun to share with our family.😀
I agree, the trip couldn’t have been easier for us to travel in the morning from Lucerne to Zürich to catch our flight.
