We will have a 7am departure from Zurich to Amsterdam on Sunday, October 6th. Any suggestions for a hotel close to the airport?

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Zurich Airport, Hofwisenstrasse 30 , Rümlang, 8153. They have an airport shuttle that starts running very early. The Zurich airport is beautiful and very efficient. There is also a Hilton nearby but I have not stayed there. Enjoy Zurich.

You could probably stay right in Zürich, as the rail trip to the airport is only about 10 - 12 minutes. There's a direct departure from Zürich HB to the airport at 05:02. There's one earlier departure at about 04:00, but it has one change and a travel time of 35 minutes

The Radisson Blu is right in the airport terminal. No train or shuttle is required; you just go downstairs. We booked it well in advance on a non-refundable rate. While the price was still higher than other options, we felt the extra was worth it for the convenience.

Whenever we have an early flight out of Zurich we always spend the night in the Radisson Blu. Its attached to the terminal - 5 min walk to the departure gates. Also, FWIW the Zurich airport has an excellent shopping area just above the train station and connected to the hotel. The Migros market there is comparatively huge and a great place to stock up on chocolate and other goodies rather than lugging them all around Switzerland.
