We are landing in Zurich next month and would like to know if there are several cash machines in the airport and if possible where they are. In checking, buying CHF here in the states, even from my bank is too expensive.
Here's some info from ifly: http://www.ifly.com/zurich-airport/ATM-banks-currency
I've generally found their info to be up-to-date and good.
There are ATMs in the train station section of the airport, which is essentially a big multi-floor shopping mall.
I landed in Zurich earlier this year and that is the first thing I did after collecting my luggage. Easy to find.
We had the same experience as Sam two weeks ago. The first cash machine was on the left wall of the baggage claim area as we approached the exit.
There are many more options in the train station.
If you are an AAA member you can buy some Swiss Francs for a reasonable rate at a local AAA office. I felt that really helped me because I had a train to catch when I arrived and I did not want to deal with ATMs immediately upon arrival.
